Game Creation Tutorial - Special Episode: Unity3d Car Game (Interfacing Kinect to Unity)

In this bit of the tutorial, we will learn how to interface the Kinect camera to the Unity car racing game.

    This is great man!
    Cons : I had to complete a survey to download the kinect folder.
    Pros: It's worth completing the survey, it is worth more than that infact.

      The kinect folder is alive and working, you need to complete the survey to download the folder.

    It is the official Microsoft SDK and it ain't kinect wrapper package...

    Hello, i want to ask about the changes that you made in car script in the GetInput() , is that throttle = player.kr; or throttle = player.k1; ..... i cant see it properly :(

    watch the video in HD you'll get to know...And regarding those errors, you got to follow the complete car game series i.e. from the beginning to make sure you'll get the result as shown in the videos!

    hello....I want to ask about OpenNi version that which version of opneNi have you installed for this unity+kinect car game.If u installed any other middleware or API then kindly tell me cux I completely followed ur tutorial but there occurs error again & again in GetInput() metthod.

    Hello, Same question from my side which NITE and openNi version have u installed and what other middleware or sdk for kinect and unity because im also getting some errors i.e NullRefernceException at line throttle= player.k1; and also some other errors like HR Result fails.

    As I have said this has not utilized any OpenNI, all I have used is Kinect SDK v1...You got to follow all the tutorials to get it working right from the beginning...

    well, never heard of such error. However make sure that you're using KInect SDK v1.0, and Unity sometimes doesn't recognize the scripts which are scattered. Follow the videos precisely..

    well, I forgot to clean that script, some variables are not used and some lines are commented. That was cos I was trying to improve the accuracy of the motion detection.
    Don't worry the script posted here works perfectly, you don't have to make any changes to that.

    hello,it`s difficult to download the code,can you put this code on your dropbox? it`s no matter if you attach linkbuck or adfly or whatever,i dunno why but i can`t download from your link.. please ... i was download all step from the 1st step until the last step and just on kinect interface im stuck can`t download the code

    Can someone share a tutorial or type the steps, how to properly install the Kinect SDK? I tried several times already and I'm getting "Kinect not Ready"
    It's getting to a point where it is getting frustrating.
